The Juniata Valley School District is a progressive rural school district in Huntingdon County PA. We are very proud of our rural setting and our community. The Jr./Sr. High School is the hub of our community where many school and community activities take place throughout the year.
We take pride in the accomplishments of our student body in both academic and extracurricular success. We immerse our students in a strong academic curriculum supported by a one-to-one initiative driven by the Canvas learning management system. The district has also embarked on a mission to implement the STEM concepts into all curricular areas, supported by a STEM lab that is available to all teachers and students.
We continue to strengthen our curriculum by offering Dual Credit courses in Math, History, English, Business Education and Speech Communications through Penn Highlands Community College as well as Mount Aloysius College, Saint Francis University and Clarion University online. Advanced Placement course are also available in the areas of U.S. Government, 2-D and 3-D Art and Design and Drawing.
Many Juniata Valley students participate in the award-winning FFA (Future Farmers of America) and the FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) organizations which support the Agricultural Science and Business education curricula.
The Juniata Valley School District also maintains a full-time virtual academy for students who prefer to experience a virtual education setting at home. Contact us for more information.
