JVES Students Help Children in Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe Orphanage Project

Juniata Valley Elementary Students participated in a project earlier this year that was initiated by high school student Adria Russell.  Students brought in money to be donated to an orphanage in Zimbabwe.  According to the final calculations, Junitata Valley Elementary School raised $200 to help out!  Ms. Joivell's classroom brought in the most money so Ms. Russell visited their classroom and completed a presentation teaching the students about the country of Zimbabwe, she helped the students to create totems and also gave each student in Ms. Joivell's classroom a woven bracelets created in a style worn in that country.

Way to Ms. Joivell's Kindergarten for helping out and Adria Russell for initiating the project!
