Morning Announcements

Today is Wednesday, December 5, 2018
It is the 64th day of school.

The Lunch Menu for today will feature:
Mashed Potato Bowl
Popcorn Chicken, Mashed Potatoes with Gravy, and Corn
or Carrots/Celery/Green Peppers
                           Choice of Fruit and Choice of Milk                          

  • Today will follow the E schedule.
  • Good luck to the JV ­Genre Geniuses Reading Club who will be competing this afternoon!
  • Today Mrs. Hershey and Mrs. Myers classes will be teaming up to collect the recycling.  Please have your bins in the hallway by noon.
  • Santa’s Workshop is opening this morning.  If you plan to shop, make sure you bring in your money on your classes scheduled day.
  • Have you heard, Santa Claus will be here at the school tonight!  The PTO is hosting Storytime and Snacks with Santa and Santa’s Workshop will be open so you can shop with your family starting at 5 PM.  If you have cookies for tonight’s activity, please bring them to the office at the end of announcements.
  • The hornet buck store will be open today!  Make sure you gather up your hornet bucks and wait for your fifth grade assistant to escort your class.
  • Students taking TRUMPET lessons will be meeting tomorrow after announcements.
  • Congratulations to the following students who were on the winning row of the Principals 100 Chart!  Cooper Kneep, Faith Norris, Ryan Taylor, Emma Hawn, Troy Struble, Sean Santiago, Farrah Norris, and Gunner Snyder.  These students should report the of office immediately following the announcements to get their prize. Troy was our lucky winner within the row so Mrs. McGinnis’s whole class earns a special prize too!
  • The spare change drive to help orphan children in Zimbabwe, ends Friday.  Remember that the classroom that collects the most change will win a movie and popcorn day!
  • The Alexandria Community Holiday Party is this Friday at 6 PM.  There will be the tree lighting, caroling, a visit from Santa as well as treats and activities for all!  We hope to see everyone there.
