When do I need to turn in my district laptop?

The deadline for turning in your laptop is Monday, August 15 by 9:00 AM.

 

Where do I drop off / pickup my laptop

You can drop off / pickup your laptop in the elementary library.  Make sure you include your power adapter and please LABEL YOUR COMPUTER BAG. 

 

When can I pick up my laptop?

The following Monday, August 22 at 9:00 AM.

 

I’m on vacation during those dates.  Can I drop of my laptop earlier / later?

It is your responsibility to drop of your laptop during the designated window.  You can drop off your laptop earlier than Aug. 15, but it still will not be ready until Aug. 22.

 

Will I lose all of my documents?

Anything that is in your “my documents” or on your desktop is backed up to the server.

 

Do I need to backup anything before I turn in my laptop?

Yes, any pictures that you have on your computer are not backed up to the server.  Pictures are typically stored in your “my pictures” folder.  If you wish to keep them you will need to copy them to a CD or a thumb drive.  Please do this before you bring your laptop to us.  We are on a very tight timeline to get your laptops ready and do not have the time to do this process for you.

 

Will my computer password change?

We try out best to guess what your domain password is, but if we can’t we will reset it to “grade”
