Congratulations to the Juniata Valley Elementary Reading Club teams for bringing home the first place trophy and second place ribbons at the Appalachia IU8 Interscholastic Reading Competition.  The competition was held at Forest Hills Middle School on April 12^th and 59 schools competed.  Juniata Valley took two teams, the JV Elites and the JV Smart Readers.  The JV Smart Readers came home with a second place ribbon and the JV Elites scored 72 points to bring home the First place trophy.

The club has been reading a list of 42 books since early December and met as a group on Mondays after school.  They have worked extremely hard and are proud of their accomplishments.  A celebration is being planned.
