2013-2014 Proposed Final Budget Available

The Juniata Valley School District intends to adopt its 2013-2014 General Fund Budget at a special session of the Board on June 26, 2013, at 7:30 p.m.

Referendum Exceptions

The Juniata Valley School District intends to apply to the Commonwealth of

Pennsylvania Department of Education for approval of referendum exceptions

for the 2013-2014 fiscal year. The exception application will be on display for

public view in the District Office at 7775 Juniata Valley Pike, Alexandria, PA from

8:00a.m. to 4:00p.m. Monday through Friday.

Keystone Exams

Beginning in the Winter of 2012 - PA students will take Keystone Exams in place of the PSSA at the High School Level.

Information regarding the Keystone Exams, and the District's plan of action for preparing students is attached.

Terry Douglas Hyde March 4, 1976 - November 15, 2012

Our District Family was saddened on Thursday with the loss of one of our truly popular and great faculty members.

Students, faculty and community members can text messages for Mr. Hyde and his family members to (814)325 - 7411. (There is a 160 character limit).

Messages will be uploaded to this webpage on a regular basis throughout the coming days, and will remain on the web page until the New Year.

Mr. Hyde made a difference for our students. He will be missed.

We are sorry for your loss and its a sad day at JV Schools.My kids loved Mr Hyde as a friend as well as a great teacher and he will be missed.

I will give 100% into Softball and my school work because i know that's what you wanted from me and everyone else! <3 Love and miss you forever and always with all of my heart(: -"S. T." R.I.P Hyde<3

He was my friend. We shared many laughs and sometimes frustrations about life outside of JV. My thoughts and prayers are with all of those who loved this great man.

You made me want to be a better person and wanting to live life knowing you'll be remembered in a such huge way by every body. Mr Hyde will never be forgotten. I wish I could be as good a person as he was.

I lost a colleague, friend and office mate for the past 6 years. Terry Hyde made it cool to be a teacher at JV. He will be missed. ~S.M.

The outpouring of sorrow and love at JVSD on Friday was absolutely incredible to behold.

My son was fortunate to have Terry as a wrestling coach at Severna Park HS MD. He was a genuinely nice man. Our prayers are with you.

Teacher, Friend, and Coach. It's definately no going to be the same without you. I know how much you wanted to hep out this season in the wrestling room. now you can always be in there helping me. Showing me what you did every time. i love and am going to miss you so much. Wrestle for Hyde!!!
