Dear Parents
and Guardians,
Due to
safety concerns regarding the temporary gravel access road in front of the
elementary school, it will no longer be available for use beginning Monday,
January 9th.
Elementary
school parents and guardians who bring their children to school or pick them up
in a private vehicle will need to follow a new route.
Cars will be
directed behind the high school to the side parking lot of the elementary
school where a turnaround loop and parking area will be available. A staff member will be on duty to escort
students into the building in the morning.
All students should be dropped off at this spot, including those who
ride to school with older siblings. Parents
and guardians who are picking up students at the end of the day should still
come into the elementary lobby to get them.
Parents may
still drop off students in the morning using the main bus access after the
buses have cleared. This will be between
8:07 and 8:15. Students who are not in
the building prior to 8:15 will be considered tardy.
Please see
the attached map for information regarding the new route. You may call the school at 669-4422 with
additional questions. This information
will also be posted on the school website: www.jvsd.org.
Thank you
for your cooperation.
Mrs. Jessica

The Juniata Valley
Junior/Senior High School will be implementing a staggered start for the 2011 –
2012 school year. Students in 7th and 12th grades
should report to school on August 29th at the regular time.
All students, including those in 7th and 12th grades,
should report on August 30th.
This staggered start does not
affect the Juniata Valley Elementary School. All elementary students
should report to school on August 29th as scheduled. School
buses will run on their regular schedules beginning on the 29th.
We look forward to a great start to another year at Juniata Valley.
Go Hornets! |
